June 1, 1999 Day 17 Our first lazy morning and while this is great we want to get to London to see if we can get some tickets to a play. Before we left we went got a group photo and than headed for the Royal Maritime Museum. We got to see the Victory which is one of the ships Admiral Nelson was on in the battle of Trafalgar. She is a beast of a ship. After spending a few minutes around the ship we said goodbye to one of the ladies in the group. She was meeting some friends and going to France.
Next we drove over to the town of Brighton. This is the town where all the well to do would bring there lovers and set them up to live and than come and visit them. The overall feel of the city for me made it to the bottom of my see this while in England list. The beaches are very different around here. There is no sand, only small smooth stones.
Now we are in London. We were thinking about doing a play tonight but Keith has the flu so that means a good night sleep instead. Tomorrow, we head back for home!
