Day 13
Well after last night we wanted more of the pool, hot tub etc, so we got up this morning running and packed our gear and headed to the pool before breakfast.  This is how a day is meant to be started.  We are heading to Bristol today with the main attraction being the town of Bath.  Before we got there we stopped by yet another castle built by Edward I (Longshanks).  Caerphilly Castle is the name and it is in the southern end of Wales.  Our next stop was  Cardiff which is the capitol of Wales.  We had a quick lunch there and than we moved on past Bristol to  Bath.

Bath is a great place.  I didn't know that the Romans had such a huge presence here until this trip and Hadrians Wall and now Bath.  The Romans were incredible with there buildings this is a natural hot springs that they had buildings over.  They had water piped to different pools and the over flow to the river is still being used today.  The rest of the city looks wonderful.  We took a quick bus tour and got some good stories of the area.  The Bath Cathedral was wonderful,  a very bright and airy church.

We ended the day at the oldest pub in Bristol.  The food there was good, I had Shepherds pie.  There was some Jazz music being played right across the cobble street at the Old Duke pub.  I thought that I should make it back to listen some and ended up walking around the city.  I wish that I had gotten there sooner for the music.  When I did get there but only with a few minutes left I think that I could have gotten in some good Swinging, even though they don't seem to be doing much of that around here.  At least not to the old music.  Anyway it was a good day and night.  Tomorrow we are heading to see some of the King Arthur areas of legend and lore.
