May 18, 1999 Day 3 The next morning came way too early having to get up at 5:15am... Hello Eastgate! "Lets go gentlemen... five minutes". Yes this is a Holiday (Vacation) for us?? It took a while to get out of London what with traffic and someone on our tour seeming to have lost a piece of luggage. So we went from there to Hampton Courts, Runny Meade, and Windsor Castle of course these sites were seen either at great distances on while moving at speeds faster than 30 mph. After all of that we went to the cemetery and grave of Winston Churchill and his family. We also went to the home of his birthplace which is quite the palace. We had a couple of hours in Oxford where we tried to see as much as we could and still managed to find a great little pub called Three Goat Heads and have some more Bankers and Mash. From Oxford we went on to Strafford upon Avon where William Shakespeare was born and grew up. Again we had about 2 hours here and we scratched this surface as hard as we could. Finally we head for Coventry and our hotel for the evening. This hotel is a wee bit basic compared to The Thistle but as you can tell we are surviving. The dinner here is good. I am glad that Eastgate works on training Eastgate men in table Etiquette and Manners. The English put silverware all around your plate. We ended this night with yet another night of talking and telling stories. Our nights are starting to remind me of mine and Tim Moody's days of working together and living together in Eastgate. Here as well as then we talk about going to bed at a decent time and always staying up late despite wisdom. But boy do we laugh. Matter of fact I almost fell out of my bed laughing... and I was laying down.
