Doug's 2nd Tandem Jump!
 

Doug came back to  the Raleigh area during the week of March 25th.  We just had to go skydiving again!  Doug made his second Tandem.  I, unfortunately, was grounded with a bad head cold.  I went along to take some pictures.

Doug jumped the Otter this time.  This was a side exit as opposed to the rear exit of the CASA. Doug and Randy during the gearcheck.  Doug was a lot more relaxed about his 2nd jump than I was.  Doug looking cool and confident prior to his jump. We took a 2nd picture of him suited up with the flash -- just in case!

Doug, Randy, and John O'Grady walking to the plane.  I tried to snap a shot during take-off, but all you see is the tail of the plane! If you look really close, you can see the plane at 14,000 feet! I took another shot, not sure if we'd be able to make out the plane in these pictures.
             
There they are! Hmmm... that's not him. That must be them... I'll bet he's having fun...
You can clearly see the plane in this zoom picture.  Doug is jumping right about... now. At first, I thought this was Doug and Randy.  It turned out to be another skydiver. Finally, I was able to pick out Doug and Randy WAY off in the distance!  Slowly they came toward the field.  I knew it was them, but I couldn't see their bodies yet.

Doug and Randy hung out up their for quite a while!  It sure isn't as much fun from the ground! Right about now, I was bursting with jealously.  I was sitting on the ground with a bad head cold...
 When they came around for their approach, I could clearly see Doug. Here's a zoom shot of the previous picture.  You can see Doug's long legs dangling!

As Douglas passed over my head, he let out a yell.  He was having a blast! Again, a zoom shot of the previous picture.  You can clearly see Doug and Randy! Doug and Randy landed in the target. It appears they stood up in the peas.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the landing, I was too busy running the camcorder!

A zoom shot of Randy and Doug talking as their gear is gathered up. Doug on ground after the jump.  The sun was in eyes, but he was smiling MOST of the time!
