Out of the
Plane!
Instant Blur Entire View of
Earth Patchwork
This is GREAT!
Stepping off...   Freefall blur!   I can hardly believe my eyes   Exhilarating!
We stepped off the ramp of the plane. For a second, I closed my eyes, but then I forced myself to open them. The view was incredible.  My entire field of vision was filled with the earth below. This was the greatest rush I had ever experienced.
More than
Falling
More than
Motion
More than
Flying
It's FREEFALL!
Falling!   Motion!   Flying!!   Freefall!
The cold rush of wind was stunning. I had to acknowledge the photographer, but all I wanted to do was look back down! Falling through the air at about 120 miles per hour! I've got to this again!
Look at me, I'm Flying! Having FUN How Long? Ready to PULL
I'm flying...I'm flying...   High there!   120 miles per hour!   I'm way too busy having fun.
I think at this point I was screaming "I'm flyin' I'm flyin'!" I was having fun with the photographer, knowing I would watch this over and over. We fell through the sky for miles.  I was beginning to wonder how long it would last. The instructor was getting ready to pull the cord.  I was oblivious to my task (cross my arms).
The cord was

I was waving at
 the photographer
I felt the pull of the parachute Going under
parachute!
Pull!   Come on Parachute!   Transitioning to flight!   Canopy!
I looked back down toward earth again as I felt a tap on my arm. I looked up to wave at the photographer.  Suddenly, she disappeared. Oh, we're pulling the cord.  I felt a gentle tug as the parachute came out of the rig. There was another incredible feeling as we first transitioned from freefall to canopy flight.

Floating down with our chute. Gentle Flying Landing
Under Canopy   Parachutist!   Coming in to the DZ   Landing
I enjoyed the flight down, although my ears were full from the pressure change. We floated down to earth underneath the parachute.  The adrenaline washed over me like waves. We could see for miles around.  We watched as the airplane that took us up landed. I asked that we not do a bunch of tight turns, so we landed a little ways off the mark.

We all could barely believe it.  We did it.  I was one of the greatest adventures of our lives!
